Rim-X – Ultimate Rim Shield by APEX Technology represents the next generation of high-strength ceramic protection for wheels and chrome surfaces, engineered according to the latest standards in surface protection.
Its formula is based on advanced ceramic-polymer technology, which bonds individual molecules of a silicone-ceramic base into a dense, stable protective barrier.
During the curing process and upon contact with moisture, these molecules cross-link into an exceptionally durable network that permanently anchors to the substrate, forming protection on a molecular level.
The final composition is an innovative silicon–nitrogen hybrid, similar in structure to silicon nitride ceramics used by NASA in rocket engine nozzles.

Application Instructions
Important information before application
Shake the bottle well before use.
Apply in a dry, enclosed, and well-ventilated area, protected from dust and moisture.
Ideal conditions: 15–25 °C, relative humidity 40–70%.
Store the coating in a cool, ventilated place. When opening the bottle, handle carefully – a slight negative pressure may occur.
For optimal results and maximum protection, apply APEX Technology Rim-X exactly according to the instructions.
As this coating forms an extremely hard and durable layer, improper application cannot be easily removed.
- Initial application
Begin with small surface areas.
Using a suitable applicator, apply a thin, even layer with light, consistent strokes.
Avoid over-application — if excess product is visible, spread it evenly across the surface.
During drying, Rim-X will become slightly tacky, which is normal.
Wiping and Leveling
After coating the entire area, gently buff off any excess product using a clean microfiber towel.
Inspect the surface for streaks or residue.
Finish by wiping again with a fresh microfiber cloth to achieve a uniform finish.
All wiping and inspection should be completed within 10 minutes of application.
- Optional spray application
For a thicker layer and enhanced protection, Rim-X can also be applied using an airbrush or mini HVLP spray gun.
Normally, no wiping is required unless excessive product has been applied.
Curing and weather resistance
The coating becomes weather-resistant within 6 hours after application.
It continues to cure for up to 30 days, depending on environmental conditions.
Any application errors must be corrected within 5 minutes, as the natural hydrophobicity of the coating will prevent re-application once cured.
Recommendations
Do not apply in direct sunlight or on hot surfaces.
Always work on cool, clean, and dry wheels or metal surfaces.
